Still in Veg Stage

Big Bud & Watermellon Photoperiods 4X4 Indoor Grow 

Notes and photos from three months into veg stage:

It’s now August 12, 2021 and I’m still in Veg because of a couple slow growers.

I have two that are huge and begging to get flipped, but I’m holding out for the other two to grow into there space in 4×4 tent. I don’t want to regret flipping into flower prematurely. It’s been a long veg so far at almost 8 weeks.

I am stumped to the reason why two of them seem to be having some stunted growth, but am confident they are finding their way. They all look healthy.

The three Watermellon don’t seem to have a lot of bud sites so I will wait as long as I can… I think a couple more days and I will flip because of how big first two girls are. 

I’ve built some wood risers to get smaller plants up closer to lights so they can get their fair share of  led light. I’m running my Mars-Hydro TS 3000 at about 19 inches using only 130 watts. I thinks it’s an ideal height combined with dimmer setting at 130w for efficient veg grow. 

I have also put top dressing of Gaia Green on both my bigger plants in front of tent. I figure it will take a couple weeks for this organic food to breakdown and plants to start uptake of its nutrients. I am thinking ahead because you have to if your using dry organic fertilizers. They need time to break down and If you wait until plant needs nutrients you have waited to long. I will top dress about every three weeks up to 4th week of flower.
